10 Best WWE Returns Of 2019 (So Far)
10. Hulk Hogan - Raw (7 January 2019)
Ever since Hulk Hogan made amends with WWE, the company hasn't made much use of him at all... you know, except for that questionable decision to have him make his long-awaited return at Crown Jewel of all places (classic WWE). However, it's hard to fault his subsequent return, which took place during Raw's tribute to the late, great Gene Okerlund (who sadly passed away at the beginning of this year).
Hogan and 'Mean' Gene were, in many ways, one of the most important duos of the Golden Era, as each of them would directly benefit the other's career, with their countless legendary backstage promos highlighting how much of a dream team they were.
With that in mind, it's easy to see why WWE chose Hogan to honour Okerlund because, at the end of the day, there was simply no one else who could have done it in a more meaningful way - and he pulled it off, delivering a surprisingly touching (and fitting) tribute to the legendary announcer.
'Mean' Gene would have been proud.
