10 Best WWE SmackDown Matches 2015

6. Kane vs. Daniel Bryan (January 29)

Over the course of January, Daniel Bryan and Kane met multiple times on Smackdown. The show had just been moved back to a Thursday time slot, switching from Fridays. A battle between the former tag-team partners was deemed the best way to draw in viewers, capped off with a Casket Match on the January 29 episode of the program. As told in Daniel Bryan's autobiography, he and Glenn Jacobs have formed a friendship behind the scenes. Whilst performing as a tandem, they also seemingly developed a lot of chemistry together. That was evident during their Casket Match on Smackdown. Sometimes, the classic stipulation bout can be slow-paced, but that was never likely to be the case with Bryan involved. Handed around 25 minutes to work with, the former WWE Tag-Team Champions produced their best match yet. The finish was also well-worked, with Bryan delivering his running knee strike to Kane. The 'Big Red Machine' then tumbled back into the coffin, and the lid was shut on him. Fans were invested in the bout, which isn't often the case on the pre-taped Smackdown shows.
