10 Best WWE SmackDown Matches 2015

3. John Cena & Daniel Bryan vs. Tyson Kidd & Cesaro (April 16)

WWE moves so quickly nowadays that even looking back to earlier in the same year can provide some eye-opening facts. In April, 2015, Daniel Bryan was still on the active roster, and he had just won the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 31. Similarly, John Cena had captured the United States belt from Rusev at 'Mania, and hopes were high the pair could elevate the titles together. This match would have likely gone a little longer had Bryan been in better fettle, but he was clearly struggling to maintain his high level of performance. Even so, he managed to contribute to a nifty main event on Smackdown. At the time, Tyson Kidd and Cesaro were the WWE Tag-Team Champions, so this was billed as a 'Champion Of Champions' match. Despite the short length (the match only went around 8 minutes), there was a lot to enjoy. It was genuinely cool to see Tyson Kidd and Daniel Bryan lock horns for a few short sequences, and John Cena always works well when he's in there with talent that moves quickly around the ring. It would have been nice to see the tag champions given a big win, but that was never likely to realistically happen.
