10. CM Punk Vs. The Miz (2007)

This was back when almost everyone thought that The Miz sucked - and not just within the context of him being a super-annoying heel, but rather: we legitimately thought that he was a terrible professional wrestler.

Some fans obviously saw something in him, though. At Cyber Sunday, he won 39% of the vote on who would challenge CM Punk for the ECW Championship, narrowly beating off competition from John Morrison (33%) and Big Daddy V (28%).

He lost the match, of course. The Miz was still a few years away from being anywhere near ready to hold a world title (even the ECW title).

But it was, perhaps, also an important moment in his early career, and given how many of us hastily had written him off by this stage, we really owe a debt of gratitude to those who kept the faith.
