Saddled with a lazy stereotype of a gimmick that played on all of the worst cliches surrounding African American men, you'd be forgiven for thinking that the team of Shad and JTG were doomed from the start.
But like so many great workers forced to make do with less than-marketable gimmicks, Cryme Tyme showed real talent by taking what should have been an indictment for the company's backward views and became one of the most popular teams on the roster.
