10 Best WWE TLC Matches EVER - According To Dave Meltzer

7. Kane Vs Edge Vs Alberto Del Rio Vs Rey Mysterio (Tables, Ladders & Chairs 2010, ****1/4)

Another forgotten gem from an era where the company began bastardising the stipulation through overuse, Edge dethroning Kane to commence his final (save for a 1 day abeyance switch with Dolph Ziggler) reign with the World Heavyweight Title deserves a second look for those who only associate this show with the figurative and literal burial of Wade Barrett in the main event.

Paul Bearer had died (again) in the build-up, rattling the 'Big Red Machine' sufficiently enough to take his eye off the prize, allowing main protagonist Edge to guide most of the match through a series of logical spots that clearly benefited from his experience.

Such stunts included a rare splash from Edge from a ladder in the ring on Kane as he lay prone on a table on the outside. When the quartet fought to the stage, Mysterio dove from prop tables to temporarily oust the Champion from the match altogether.

All four re-entered the fray as the match continued at a frantic pace, before Del Rio took a terrifying fall through a table, Mysterio was incapacitated by a Tombstone and Edge speared Kane through a table on the floor.

The last man standing atop the rungs as he so often was, Edge tearfully celebrated, obvlivious to the finality his victory would be tinged with.
