On the surface, it would seem as though Sasha Banks has had a landmark year in 2016. The Boss was a part of the genre-defining triple threat match at WrestleMania 32, won the RAW Women's Championship on three occasions and competed in a number of firsts along the way. Banks is the A2 to Charlotte's A1 when it comes to women in WWE.
As a result, Banks must sit in the upper echelons of this list. Despite this, putting her ahead of the two names occupying first and second would be wrong. Banks may have won the title on three occasions, but she was never able to successfully defend the strap either. When it truly mattered, Banks has fallen short.
Still, she seems to be a league above most of the other women in WWE today. The Boss carries herself like a star, safe in the knowledge that she is front and centre of one of the important movements in modern wrestling history. 2016 could have been glorious, but it has been pretty darn good nonetheless.
