10 Best WWF VHS Tapes Ever Released

2. Raw Hits

Having suffered through every episode of Monday Night Raw ever broadcast (or to put it another way, I have wasted around 98 days of my life!) I believe I am informed enough to express the opinion that the show in 1994 was at its lowest ebb. Despite what WWE revisionist history would have you believe, Raw was not the company€™s flagship broadcast back then. And you could tell. Week after week viewers had to endure one horrible match after another, with the company forcing the likes of heel Tatanka, babyface Doink and Japanese Crush down their throats. It was horrible. Though, not all of it. There were a few rare gems on Raw in 1994, and Raw Hits captures every one of them. On this tape we get the wonderfully crafted television classic between Bret Hart and 1-2-3 Kid, a very good Shawn Michaels versus Davey Boy Smith encounter which comes close to their finest work together, one of the greatest WWF women€™s matches ever as Bull Nakano and Alundra Blayze beat the living hell out of one another, and a fairly good albeit random six-man tag pitting Bret Hart, 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly against Owen Hart, Yokozuna and Hakushi. The only downer on the tape is Lex Luger versus Tatanka in a cage match, which is at least short enough to not offend.
