10 Best WWF VHS Tapes Ever Released

By James Dixon /

8. German Fan Favourites

A rare German-exclusive tape released in 1992, this is chock-a-block full of great matches and lesser-seen contests. The fan favourites tag attached to the tape is complete and utter nonsense of course, but we can forgive that due to the quality of the bouts. This has everything from a Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels ladder match encounter, to an all-star tag bout pitting dream team #1 Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels against dream team #2 Randy Savage and Bret Hart, to Bret Hart€™s first WWF Title win over Ric Flair. For fans of bad wrestling, there is even a non-PPV clash between The Undertaker and Giant Gonzalez to get your juices flowing, and an eight-man tag that highlights how weak the company€™s tag division was at this time pairing the Natural Disasters with High Energy against Money Inc and the Beverly Brothers. The good more than makes up for the bad though (there is a superb Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty match from Raw on here too), and the tape takes a slot on this list ahead of cult classic Smack€™em Whack€™em because it features the two best matches from that tape plus much more. You will have to import it (unless you live in Germany, obviously), but it is definitely worth the shipping costs.
