Well, we're into February and the promised rumour we heard last year is coming to fruition. It was heard that the WWE will be going back to the big men, the giants, after what they will consider the failed 'independent' experiment. Was it a failure? To most of us, no, it wasn't. This column isn't about that though, this is about which of the big men will really begin to propel the company forward in the coming years. There's a big list but the past four weeks have begun to show some direction here. Also, does 'big' necessarily mean 'height'? No, but obviously, the physical stature of some of the wrestlers mentioned here are their main selling points. It should be noted that in the next few months/years, we will begin to see the current crop of legendary big men retire. The Undertaker is down to one or two matches a year. Kane is well respected and might become a booker (or move into politics). The Big Show has a few years left in the tank but, similar to Mark Henry, might be on his final contract now. WWE need to bring in fresh talent and/or some trusted names. What with the current state of the product, not all of the names on this list will be particularly welcome but that won't stop WWE doing what it does best, bludgeon on regardless. Some however, are really exciting prospects. Some have been around for a while but will still play a significant part in the 'Big Man' experiment about to take hold. So, here are the 10 Big Men set to make the WWE the 'land of the giants' again in 2014.
