10 Big WWE Returns That Could Happen In 2020
10. Kane
Technically, Kane's last WWE run came back in mid-September, when he swapped the Knox Country mayoral sash on his shoulder for the WWE 24/7 championship, only to drop it back to R-Truth over the course of the same evening.
That wasn't the Big Red Machine though, and nor was it, except in the vaguest definitions of the term, wrestling. The man in the mask hasn't brought his brand of brimstone to WWE's rings proper since the Crown Jewel calamity last November, where, courtesy of the ludicrous circumstances, he was the most competent of the four main eventers in the show's otherwise disastrous main event.
Is a farce in the middle of Saudi Arabia a fitting curtain-closer? For most wrestlers, inveterate or otherwise, it's not usually a consideration. For Kane, a servant of the company and sure-fire first-class Hall of Famer, it's surely a different story - and the 52-year-old could receive that fitting final send-off next year.
