6. Steve Austin - Canadian Stampede 1997

The Stone Cold/Bret Hart feud dominated WWE programming for most of 1997, and after the famous double turn at WrestleMania 13, it was Austin who emerged as the baby-face to Hart's heel. The script was flipped again, though, when the company headed north of the border to Calgary for an In Your House special in July.

Austin was paired up with Ken Shamrock, Goldust, and The Legion of Doom to take on hometown heroes Bret and Owen Hart alongside Jim Neidhart, The British Bulldog, and Brian Pillman in a 10-man tag bout. Few were expecting anything other than a heavily partisan crowd, but nobody within a 20-mile radius of the arena wanted to see Austin and co crash the Hart Dynasty's party - and it really showed.
