10 Biggest Surprises Of Triple H's WWE So Far

2. The Women's Division Is Suffering

During NXT's peak years, nobody could hold a candle to Triple H when it came to booking women's wrestling. Whilst WWE were a little too on the nose with the 'revolution' advertising, NXT were helping to mould the best generation of women's wrestler through expert storytelling.

It's why people were screaming for Banks vs. Bayley on the main roster, because The Game had booked it so expertly on the Black and Gold brand that people knew how good it could be.

Under Vince McMahon, the women's division felt bland and directionless, and after Triple H opened SummerSlam with the birth of a new heel women's stable and some new faces to freshen things up, it looked like we would see an uptick in quality.

It hasn't really happened, has it?

The wrestling is still pretty good, which is to be expected, but Damage CTRL already look like a busted flush, Alexa Bliss and Asuka are directionless, and Candice LeRae returned to zero fanfare and apparently zero storyline. And that's just on RAW.

SmackDown is even bleaker, as through his own booking, Triple H has butchered any hope of Liv Morgan being an effective babyface, and Ronda Rousey is still lacking whatever made her so explosive in 2018. Cobble that with a directionless tag division and so many stars just kicking their heels, and it's actually pretty disapointing.

Considering what he did before, it's a surprise that the King of Kings hasn't improved things one bit.
