Sid was never really one for top (or second)-rope offense in his championship-winning pro wrestling career. Thus, when WCW management asked that Sid attempt some aerial moves in his WCW Championship match with Scott Steiner and he landed poorly on his left ankle, the moment it snapped in half wasn't just a botch by the wrestler, but by WCW management, too. One of the most gruesome injuries in pro-wrestling history, it came from a botched spot that actually never even needed to occur.
