10 Biggest Wrestling Crimes WWE Committed In 2016
10. Missing Out Major Names In The WWE Draft
The WWE Draft promised to provide a definitive split between Monday Night Raw and the rebranded SmackDown Live during the Summer. Whilst it was great to see the likes of Charlotte Flair picked second overall for Raw, not to mention the fact that Becky Lynch took pride of place on SmackDown, some expected names were missing.
WWE drafted some talent up the ladder, bringing performers like Nia Jax to Raw and American Alpha to SmackDown. The latter was warmly-received, Chad Gable and Jason Jordan had been tearing it up on NXT. As for Jax, she was deemed a poor replacement for Bayley or Asuka.
Further to that, fans had been expecting to see names such as Shinsuke Nakamura or maybe even Samoa Joe in the WWE Draft. Neither were called up from NXT, which disappointed some.
WWE had a plan, Bayley would land on Raw after the drafting was all said and done. Still, it felt cheap to deny fans some names they quite clearly wanted to see during the Draft.
