3. Brawl Out/Brawl In

When CM Punk debuted for AEW in August 2021, it was deemed a massive win for the upstart company. However, within the space of two years, he'd been a part of two of the promotion's most infamous moments.

If you somehow don't know this story, Punk and his friend Ace Steel (and his dog Larry) were involved in a backstage fight with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks at All Out 2022. The Elite had taken offence to comments Punk had made during the post-show press conference, and things got wildly out of hand. 

All parties involved were either suspended or fired. Punk made his return to AEW TV in June 2023 and things were going well... for about two months. 

At All in, the company's biggest show to date, Punk got involved in yet another fracas, this time against Jack Perry. The youngster had antagonised the veteran with some comments during his match, leading to a scuffle that was later broadcast on Dynamite in one of the strangest moments in AEW history. 

Punk's time in AEW represents the best and worst of his personality. Thank God nothing like this has happened in WWE... yet.
