By the time the Armageddon Pay-Per-View rolled around in December, 1999, the WWF had long since established itself as the dominant force in North American pro wrestling again. WCW's star had shone brightly for a few years, but the Atlanta-based organisation were showing distinct cracks at the new millennium approached, and didn't seem to have any ideas on how they could turn things around. In a way, Vince McMahon's WWF could do whatever the heck they wanted by this point, WCW were in free fall. Nonetheless, looking to court controversy and get some headline news space, the promotion's brain trust booked Stacy 'Miss. Kitty' Carter to strip off her top on Pay-Per-View, taking the whole 'sex' aspect of the Attitude Era to a whole new level. Also known as 'The Kat', Carter removed her bikini following victory in a 4-Corners Evening Gown Pool Match against Ivory, B.B and Jacqueline for the WWF Women's Championship. This kind of bout was commonplace during this era, as the females of the promotion served no other purpose than to be eye candy. Sable had went topless before, albeit with paint to cover some skin, but Carter went full-on naked!
