10 Biggest WWE Changes Since Daniel Bryan Last Wrestled

2. B+ Players

Bryan was tagged with the 'B+ Player' moniker by Authority heels sock-puppeted by Vince McMahon himself. McMahon probably didn't instruct Triple H to bring down Edge, Chris Jericho and others in his rambling assessment, but the Chairman's legitimate mindset was all over Hunter and Stephanie McMahon's cutting evaluation of the beloved star.

If Bryan in 2013 was a B+, it brought to mind what actually constituted an 'A'. John Cena and Randy Orton theoretically occupied the category back then, but neither can lay claim to it whilst 'The Champ' works a part time schedule and 'The Viper' wrestles like he's on one. Roman Reigns, despite the best efforts from many, still hasn't truly arrived. Brock Lesnar? A-hole, maybe, but doesn't have the consistency to make the top grade. WWE Champion AJ Styles clings on to his spot by the tips of his WWEShop.com gloves.

Underneath that crew, the stains on the glass ceiling have never been more smeared. WWE is bursting with alleged 'B+ players', noticeably lacking intangibles (or creative assistance) to break through. Finn Balor, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Braun Strowman, Rusev and others are trapped in a nearly-but-not-quite malaise. Compared to them, Bryan is The Rock and Steve Austin combined.

Maybe fuddy-duddies are right about examinations getting easier. A B+ in 2013 is quite blatantly A*-worthy five years later.
