10 Booking Steps For WWE Monday Night Raw (Oct 19)

8. Establish Sheamus And Barrett As Tag-Team In Interim

'King' Barrett has been a woeful experiment thus far. Wade Barrett hasn't been booked strongly ever since winning the 'King of The Ring' tournament. As for Sheamus, he's still in possession of the Money In The Bank briefcase, but it doesn't look like he's going to cash in any time soon. Maybe WWE are trying to take fans off the scent before Hell In A Cell, but it seems like the Irishman will have to play the waiting game. Due to this fact, he's been played in a random tag-team with Barrett. On the surface, this is because the writing staff don't have much in store for either man, but it's hardly a nightmare scenario. Both have similar size, and work well as a unit. On Raw, they defeated Cesaro and Neville in a short tag affair. Similarly, they did the exact same on Smackdown. Going forward, there are worse ideas for both men than letting them continue to develop themselves as a tandem. The 'King' aspect of Barrett's character could slowly be phased out, allowing him to revert back to the 'Bad News' gimmick that was working well.
