10 Booking Steps For WWE Raw (March 6)
10. Y2J Crashes KO's Universal Title Party
Wouldn't it be something if Kevin Owens managed to escape a predictable defeat at the hands of Bill Goldberg and hold onto his WWE Universal Title at Fastlane?
Goldberg's match against Brock Lesnar doesn't need that belt to feel special, and whilst the same could be argued for KO vs. Chris Jericho, that personal issue has revolved around the title since last Summer; Y2J previously also called himself Universal Champ when aligned with Owens, and that should be KO's reason for ultimately kicking him to the curb just a few weeks ago.
Any victory over Goldberg would lead to Owens bragging about his title reign on Raw, and that marks the perfect time for Jericho to launch a full-scale assault of his ex-buddy.
Crashing the championship party and sending the fans wild, a returning Y2J would then be vindicated by Mick Foley putting him one-on-one with Owens in Raw's main event; such a headliner would provide obvious set-up for WrestleMania, and make it clear that Owens will defend against Jericho on that pay-per-view.
