Viewership is at its lowest point in years, the PPV market has dried up and a 56-year-old man is wrestling for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Yup, things are certainly looking up for WWE these days. OK, that€™s a bit harsh. But when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon tried on Raw Monday night to talk about all the great successes the company has had during the past year, they ignored a lot of the very real issues WWE has faced in the six months since WrestleMania XXXI. And that€™s really the main concern: We€™re at the midpoint between WrestleManias, and WWE has some serious challenges as it starts rolling toward its signature show of the year. It€™s not all doom and gloom €“ far from it. There are plenty of bright spots, but it€™s just not really clicking. And it€™s against that backdrop that WWE heads into Night of Champions Sunday night, with every title on the line and a few other marquee bouts on the card. WWE has the opportunity to move things in the right direction in a couple areas, and the pieces could start falling into place. This is a golden opportunity for WWE to turn the page toward the future€ or it could be a continuation of the same old, same old.
