Oh come on, you dont seriously think WWE is going to merge these two titles or have one man hold two singles belts, do you? The idea of John Cena leaving SummerSlam with both the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the United States Championship is just ludicrous though it obviously could happen. So, lets run down some of the scenarios WWE could employ: Any kind of disqualification or count-out finish would result in both men keeping their titles, which would avoid the issue. But it also would leave fans with the co-main event of one of the biggest shows ending in a DQ. Thats never a good thing. Cena or Seth Rollins could actually win the match, and then Sheamus could cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase, capitalizing and becoming the new world champion. Seeing how this was hinted at a week ago, its possible we could see it. Rollins could win with some outside interference, and then relinquish the U.S. title to his collaborator as a prize for helping him retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Cena could win and then relinquish the U.S. Championship so that the tournament could be held to crown a new champ, because one man shouldnt hold two singles titles. So there are several ways WWE can avoid having one man leave SummerSlam (or at least make it too far beyond it) with two titles. Well just have to see how things unfold.
