10 Celebrities That Had The Most Influence In WWE History

7. Jay Leno

Regardless of what the critics will and DID say, running a wrestling angle on the set of The Tonight Show was, and still IS a pretty big deal. You have to give all the credit in the world on this one to Eric Bischoff---it was a major coup for WCW at the time. The match that took place at WCW€™s pay-per view, Road Wild, on August 8, 1998, was set up when Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff took over the set of The Tonight Show€, and host Jay Leno used security And Diamond Dallas Page to help escort them from the building. The angle would then lead to a tag match between Hogan and Bischoff vs. Leno and Page. Even though the babies went over---Hulk Hogan selling for Jay Leno---was just UGLY. Either way, the story got mainstream publicity and that€™s exactly what WCW was seeking at the time.
