10 Changes To Make WWE Smackdown's Thursday Move Successful

5. Feature Weekly In-Depth Character Profiles

Heres one of the best ways to make Smackdown feel different from Raw from a character perspective. Let Smackdown be the show where we get to know more about the superstars we are watching. The idea is to air weekly in depth superstar/diva profiles that may look at their history with the company, their life before the WWE, examine what their goals and needs are; basically give the audience a better understanding of who the hell they are and why they go out every week and fight when they could be doing literally anything else. These 4-5 minute packages would be exclusive to Smackdown and could become something that people tune in to see. It gives us a chance to understand guys like Darren Young or Fandango or even Dean Ambrose, while giving the amazing production staff at the WWE a chance to put out more amazingly produced packages throughout the year. Think the old WWE Desire videos, for a new era. Those would be hits and might even get people behind some of the superstars who don€™t get the time to really show who they are in their limited exposure to the WWE Universe.
