Over the past few years, the Royal Rumble hasn't been the most satisfying event for many fans. In 2013, John Cena emerged victorious, and it became clear that he was going to once again face The Rock at WrestleMania. The following year, Batista was the man chosen to win the bout, when fans would have rather had someone like Daniel Bryan or even Roman Reigns. Reigns won in 2015, but again people weren't happy with the result. Management must have been scratching their heads at that one, surely feeling Roman - as someone fresh - would satisfy people. The fact it didn't is representative of problems facing the Rumble, it's genuinely difficult for WWE to find an outcome which everyone wants to see. In 2016, they're going to have to. There are rumours that WWE will book someone like Brock Lesnar to stand tall at the end of the 30-man, over-the-top-rope tradition. That likely wouldn't upset people, and may actually be the best idea currently floating around. Other options, such as another victory for Roman Reigns would only lead to the same old complaints which have been plaguing the match for years now.
