10 Classic Teams Who Returned To WWE Past Their Prime
10. The Dudley Boyz
Throughout their illustrious career, The Dudley Boyz have done everything there is to do in tag team wrestling. Their tenure in the business has seen them become 23 time tag team Champions and the most decorated tandem in wrestling history.
After a long stint in TNA that saw both men go solo, D-Von retire and Bubba transform into Bully Ray (becoming World Champion in the process), many thought we'd seen the end of The Dudleyz as we knew them. This rumour was perpetuated by Bubba's lone return in the 2015 Royal Rumble, with his partner conspicuous by his absence.
Nevertheless, seven months later the team would reunite in WWE, shocking the world when their trademark pyro hit during a New Day's post-match celebration. The crazed crowd watched on in awe as the returning table breakers made their way down the ramp. Naturally, it didn't take long before they got the wood out.
The returning ECW legends would stick around for a year on Raw but were unable to regain the Tag Team Titles. Marking their 20th anniversary as a team, their reunion run was the perfect way to mark the occasion. Were they past their prime? Probably. Were they still awesome? No doubt.
