10. Kid Rock Eats Up Airtime With Interminable Mini Concert (WrestleMania XXV)
WrestleMania is the single most-watched wrestling pay-per-view each year, and routinely plays host to the biggest matches WWE can feasibly book. Since the event's inception in 1985, it has also been the place where a gaggle of celebrity guests converge to lend their star power to what the company calls a 'pop culture phenomenon'. On the surface, there's nothing wrong with that. A lot of casual viewers tune in for 'Mania, so those people would likely enjoy seeing some faces they recognise from other forms of entertainment. The main issues begin to arise when WWE feels it's a good idea to hold mini-concerts right in the middle of what is supposed to be their love letter to their core audience. In 2009, it was Kid Rock who swallowed up around ten whole minutes of pay-per-view time. Performing a few of his biggest hits, the singer then burst into his newest single, 'So Hott'. Immediately, the participants in the Divas Battle Royal made their way out to cavort with Rock, before facing off in the ring. The resultant match ran for just over seven minutes, making it shorter than the Kid Rock segment fans stood around looking bored throughout.
