Over the course of WWE history, announcers have referred to a few characters as "the devil" and there is no way that this couldn't piss off any church activists. On numerous occasions during the early to mid 2000's, I can recall WWE Hall of Fame announcer Jim Ross referring to The Undertaker as "Big Evil, Red Devil" and Vince McMahon as "The Devil Himself." Also, the character of Kane has been portrayed as The Devil and "from the depths of hell" time and time again. When it comes to using The Devil, WWE has never been shy to get controversial.
