Via his popular podcast, Talk Is Jericho, and numerous book releases, fans have learned a lot about Chris Jericho's relationship with Vince McMahon, which is certainly a strange one at times. Having to earn the respect of his peers upon switching from WCW to WWE, Jericho also had to fully win over his boss, something which took years for him to accomplish. According to Jericho, Vince hasn't always viewed him as somebody who could headline his company. Never was this more evident than, on the night Jericho was set to defeat both Steve Austin and The Rock in two separate matches, and claim the first ever Undisputed Title, McMahon remarked in passing that "business must be going down the drain" if the promotion were making Jericho champion. To make matters worse, Vince was walking past with The Undertaker, one of the most respected veterans in the entire business. Jericho must have felt pretty confused about that one - it was clearly a joke, but was that the way McMahon really felt? If so, why were they giving him the biggest accolade in WWE?
