To most fans, the idea of being WWE Champion, or World Heavyweight Champion, means you get to stay in palatial hotel suites, eating the finest foods and drinking the finest wines and spirits available to man. That is, of course, unless you're Mick Foley, who celebrated winning the then-WWF Title by slumming it out in his hotel room eating ice cream! For Chris Jericho, who was then World Heavyweight Champion, weather problems made it difficult for him to find a hotel room one night on the road. Trying numerous different places in the area, it soon donned on the champ that he had a choice, either sleep in his rental car, or try to convince one of the hotels to let him sleep somewhere, anywhere, in the building. One kind receptionist let Jericho kip for a few hours underneath some tables in the hotel's conference suite, which surely must rank as one of the most uncomfortable sleeping experiences of Jericho's life. Even as World Champion, the guy couldn't catch a break - far from sleeping in splendid surroundings, the man awoke to terrify all the other guests, who were enjoying breakfast, wondering who this strange, tanned man with bloodshot eyes was, and why he was wandering through the hotel bar looking so disheveled.
