10 Craziest WWE TLC Moments Ever

AA's and Swantons and Spears, oh my!

By Dee Traven /

If, like many of us, you were left somewhat perplexed at what transpired as Survivor Series came to an end on Sunday night, fear not: WWE's next big show (not counting the upcoming NXT Takeover in London, which should be absolutely freakin' awesome) is TLC! Yes, that annual excuse for the company to produce as many spots within three hours of programming as possible is on the horizon once again, so what better time to take a trip down memory lane and revisit some of the most dangerous, dastardly and downright deranged moments from the TLC match itself over the years? There have been 17 TLC matches across 15 years to date, so there's plenty to choose from...

10. Flair Goes Flying (Raw 2006)

This may not seem like an immediately obvious choice given some of the other table-smashing, bone-breaking moments you'll see in this list, but when you consider everything in context, it's little short of plain nutty that this bump was even allowed to happen. Battling for Edge's WWE Championship, Ric Flair would take part in his first and last TLC match during an episode of Raw that capped off the duo's fun mini-feud in early 2006. Flair was already in possession of the Intercontinental Championship at the time but wanted one final shot at The Big One, and he'd get it - in a match type of which Edge was proudly declaring himself a veteran having appeared in three of four TLC matches to that date. Midway through the match, Flair, who was about to turn 57, would take an impressive, painful looking suplex right off the top of the ladder. It would have made any fan cringe enough had it been a Dean Ambrose or a Jeff Hardy, but this was a guy settling into his late 50s. It looked great, and was further testament to Flair's determination to put on a great show, whatever the cost. He'd probably do it today given the chance. The bloody lad.
