William Regal has often been described as snake-like on WWE programming, but in real life, the man just likes snakes. Though just the thought of the cold-blooded creatures may cause some to break into a cold sweat, Regal is an avid collector of reptiles. In his 2005 autobiography Walking a Golden Mile, he stated that he owns two snakes, eight lizards, and a tortoise. The number has likely increased since then. Regal is a friend of NERD, or the New England Reptile Distributors. In a video filmed for WWE.com in 2012, Regal visited NERD's Zoo Creatures pet store in search of a new member of the family. After handling snapping turtles and dwarf caimans, the former Intercontinental Champion settled on a green tree python."You can keep all the cars in the world, and all your silly video games," said Regal, surrounded by reptiles at the shop. "This, to me, is the greatest thing in the world, right here." It's an incredibly sweet sentiment, but many would still shout "eeek!"
