10 Current WWE Double-Acts That Must Never Split Up
10. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode
It was good to see Robert Roode's eventual return a few weeks ago. It was also nice to see that his partnership with Mr Ziggler is still alive and kicking.
It's the first example on this list of wrestlers getting lost in the WWE stomping ground. Roode never did exactly skyrocket after his migration from NXT in 2017. Ziggler on the other hand, has done some great work, but having been tugged between being part-time heel to Draw McIntyre, and a sort of MMA brawler on the mercifully dead Raw Underground, his character has remained in a flux.
It must also be said that their pairing is more than just the convenient sweeping up of loose components. In the past events we've seen that they can portray the egotistical show-stopper types, and more recently the no-nonsense bruisers, gunning for the chance to win titles.
Either way, the characterisation is neat and they suit each other to a fault. Their promos and in ring work validate that they have become more than the sum of their parts.
