Yes, he moves better than half the WWE roster and seems to have a limitless gas tank, but -crucially -he doesn't look like Randy Orton or John Cena. This, coupled with the fact that he's getting massively over with the fans anyway, is a major crime according to certain members of WWE's hierarchy.
Owens' undeniable popularity - despite much of the internal criticism levied at him - raises a very interesting question. As long as it doesn't affect your in-ring performance or compromise your gimmick (it's hard to imagine a heavyset Dolph Ziggler), how important actually is it to be visually in shape?
