10 Current WWE Superstars That Aren't Hurt By Losses

9. Zack Ryder

Don't be confused by this article's title; not every superstar that can sustain defeat needs to be upper-card. Some wrestlers have such a strong connection with the audience that no matter where they are positioned on the card or how many times they lose, they remain over with the fans. Zack Ryder is the perfect example.

Zack's never had a main event run, nor has he even been part of even an upper mid-card feud. The highlight of his WWE career recently came at WrestleMania 32 when he shockingly won the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match only to drop the gold the next night on RAW. So if Ryder's a perennial loser and borderline jobber-to-the-stars, why does he remain so popular?

Perhaps it can be attributed to his Z! True Long Island Story show on YouTube, or being an ardent, life-long WWE fan. Either way, Ryder connects with the audience. While he may not have the in-ring skills of a Cesaro or AJ Styles, he has a love for the wrestling business and passion for what he does which resonates with the fans.

If the Long Island Iced Z needed to win to stay relevant, he'd have been gone from WWE a long time ago.
