There's no elaborate story to spin here, just the need for one writer to see Bryan work with somebody he has long admired.

Should Shinsuke Nakamura become WWE Champion at 'Mania (which looks to be the plan), he'll need strong opponents as WWE creep towards the Summer. There's nobody hotter on the radar right now than Daniel Bryan. Please, WWE, don't give us anything like Nakamura vs. Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam 2017 instead, and expect it to get over.

A story revolving around Bryan's desire to test himself against the best and maybe, just maybe redeem a career he thought was dead by becoming World Champion one more time is sensational stuff. Best of all, Daniel could carry the story on the mic when needed; Shinsuke's troubles as a talker wouldn't become an issue.

Against Bryan, Nakamura could focus more on making the actual matches a focal point. That'd be refreshing to see for a title that was mired in the nonsensical ramblings of the cartoonish Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton feud this time last year.
