As a young man, John Cena was fascinated by the hulking brutes that adorned his bedroom walls. Seeing bodybuilders as incredibly cool individuals, Cena dreamed of being one himself, and started lifting weights and training early in his teens. The hard work paid off, and John had an unbelievable physique by the time he graduated high school. Looking to take things further, he enrolled at Springfield College. There, Cena played American Football regularly, but he also worked diligently on his studies. In 1998, his dedication again served him well, and John graduated with a degree in Exercise Physiology. Shortly afterwards, Cena started training to become a pro wrestler, something which he obviously exceeded at also. Speaking about his time in college, Cena says that he didn't have a lot of spare time, but he was determined to be a success at everything he did. Failure wasn't an option for the driven young man, who was a stand out on the football field and in the class room. A jock who also had book smarts, Cena won't have much need for his degree nowadays.
