10 Devastating Injuries Suffered By WWE Divas

5. Beth Phoenix's Jaw Breaking First Match (Raw, 2006)

Meant to be the next top contender to Mickie James' Women's Championship in the summer of 2006, Beth Phoenix made her WWE television debut as the protege of Trish Stratus. Unfortunately, she would never get the opportunity to be the next babyface challenger to the mentally unstable champion as a broken jaw put her out of action for over a year. Showing incredible toughness in doing so, she managed to defeat Victoria, who had been responsible for the injury. It was that toughness that would earn her the respect of the locker room and fuel her to come back better than ever. After returning in 2007, she wasted little time cementing herself as the top Diva in WWE. She would win both the Women's and Divas titles on several occasions and did so by beating talented women like Mickie James, Melina, Michelle McCool, Layla and Kelly Kelly. By the time she left WWE in 2012, she had accumulated a Hall of Fame-worthy career and was named one of the top five Divas in company history during an episode of WWE Network's Countdown program.
