Short but sweet would be one way to describe Stacy Carter's run, who plied her trade as both 'Miss. Kitty' and later 'The Kat' in the WWF. Originally brought in as an 'assistant' to Debra McMichael, who was managing Jeff Jarrett at the time, Carter later became associated with Chyna, and would infamously bare her breasts at the 1999 Armageddon Pay-Per-View, something which almost cost the company their contract with PPV provider DirectTV. Fired by the promotion in early-2001, Carter later admitted she was shocked by her sudden departure, even more so when then-husband Jerry Lawler also decided to walk and stand by his wife. If rumours are to be believed, Carter was quite difficult for many to get on with backstage, and WWF officials decided to cut her loose rather than attempt to mediate. Speaking about her dismissal in later interviews, Carter has said that she and Lawler were going through problems in their relationship long before both left the WWF, and that Lawler's subsequent rehiring later in the year didn't co-inside with the end of their marital bond, it was simply coincidence. Unhappy with the sudden nature of her firing, Carter has wondered if she was only treated the way she was due to her gender, and the expendable nature of women to wrestling.
