10 Epic Million Dollar Ideas WCW Refused To Use

9. Making Peace With Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman left WCW on bad terms in the early nineties. He went on to change the pro wrestling industry with ECW, and Vince McMahon was quick to latch on to many of Heyman's concepts. Indeed, the WWF and ECW were actively working together at some points in the Attitude Era. WCW went about things differently. They just outright stole Heyman's ideas, and signed his wrestlers away from him. While Vince was working with Paul, Bischoff was working against him. That was an error in strategy. WCW should have done everything in their power to mend bridges with Heyman. In 1999, when they needed a new creative visionary, they should have signed him up. Instead, they turned to Vince Russo, and the rest is history. Imagine how different things would have been with Heyman running WCW. With the financial resources of Turner at his disposal, and his own unique mindset, Heyman could have made it the greatest promotion in wrestling history.
