If there's one thing you're guaranteed to get with Shelton Benjamin (despite his advancing age), it's high-quality wrestling matches.

Since being released from WWE in 2010, the 40-year-old Benjamin has earned a reputation for being an extremely entertaining in-ring worker for Ring of Honor, New Japan Pro Wrestling and on the independent circuit.

Providing a mixture of technical wrestling ability and high-flying acrobatics, just the thought of The Gold Standard getting to work with some of the overshadowed talent currently in WWE is a mouthwatering prospect. 

Matches between Benjamin and the likes of Sami Zayn, Dolph Ziggler and Neville would have the potential to be instant classics.

WWE has made a good start to making wrestling the focus of its product once again, and bringing back Benjamin while he is still performing at an impressive level would be a fine way to continue that trend.
