Of the three Wyatt Family members, Erick Rowan was surely the weakest when it came to his in-ring work and overall character development. However, that's not to say he was terrible in between the ropes; he could more than hold his own against John Cena, Chris Jericho and Daniel Bryan, showing signs of true potential in each of his matches. He'll never be contending for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, of course, but he can be a solid undercard act if booked properly. And don't forget, Rowan did find himself in a prominent position last fall when he competed alongside Team Cena at Survivor Series, though he hasn't been featured on TV as regularly since. Following a failed feud against Big Show he has been mostly directionless and is in need of (another) rivalry with an established star that will actually make him out to look credible; Sheamus can be that opponent. The former WWE champion may not grace the main event scene immediately upon his return, but if he needs to spend some time in the midcard, a feud with Rowan could be beneficial for them both.
