9. Toys 'R' Us Display On Times Square

When you first get to New York, Times Square is top of the list of places to go. You€™ve seen it in movies and TV shows, so you have to go and check it out yourself.

When I first saw Times Square, I remember almost feeling like I had to hold onto something and I couldn€™t quite get my balance. It was such an overwhelming visual stimulation that I didn€™t know where to look first or what to do. There€™s billboards for Broadway shows, Yellow Taxi€™s, neon lights, thousands of people and, of course, a massive Toys R Us.

My buddy indulged me as I insisted we visit the toy emporium and see if they had any cool WWE stuff. To my absolute delight, not only did they have a full section of WWE figures and memorabilia but they had a window display to commemorate WrestleMania. From a classic Ric Flair robe to a mould of Andre The Giant€™s hand, it was all there for fans to view and take pictures.

As I stood on Times Square looking at a mould of Andre The Giant€™s hand, it struck me that, as cheesy as it sounds, I was five minutes from Madison Square Garden where WrestleMania began, where Andre slammed Big John Studd for $15,000 and here I am looking at a sculpt of his hand. I€™ll never forget the feeling of adrenaline I experienced in that moment.
