In an odd cuckold-assance, WWE has opted to push not one, but two of these downright sad character turns in the last few months.

The first involved Mike (Bennett) Kanellis being made a complete laughing stock by the rest of the roster, after his wife Maria announced she was pregnant and Mike wasn't the father. A now pointless storyline - with the former two-time 24/7 champion requesting his release - involved him being emasculated for the next couple of weeks.

If that god-awful incomplete arc wasn't enough to tickle your fancy, WWE doubled down on the gimmick a few weeks ago when Rusev returned to Raw without his wife, Lana. After being asked where his wife was on air, the Ravishing Russian revealed herself as Bobby Lashley's new flame.

As we're still only in the early days of this second 2019 cuckold attempt, it's a tad early to define it as a complete disaster. However, if more Lashley massages are on the cards, your writer would like to get off this TV-14 train.
