10 Great Moments In Average WWE Careers
10. 24 Hours Of Fandango
For 24 hours after WrestleMania 29, Fandango was the hottest thing in wrestling.
While his shock victory over Chris Jericho at The Showcase of the Immortals, in his debut match on the main roster, piqued some interest in the recently-debuted ballroom dancer character, it was the following night on RAW that his career hit an all-too-brief peak.
A particularly rowdy post-WrestleMania crowd at New Jersey's IZOD Centre spent the whole of Fandango's match with Kofi Kingston singing along to his catchy entrance music, with Fandango playing off the crowd brilliantly to leave the commentators in fits of giggles.
In the days that followed, sales of Fandango’s Jim Johnston-composed theme increased by 4,000%, and the tune made it to number 13 in the iTunes chart in the United Kingdom.
Although his Fashion Files segments with Tyler Breeze have regained him a cult following, Fandango’s popularity and career will, realistically, never reach the same heights again.
