6. Shawn Michaels vs. Marty Jannetty - (Raw July 19, 1993)

The easiest way to end a tag team is by controversy and this was never more true than for The Rockers, who had been a top act in WWE. Fans loved their style; their high intensity and dynamic moves set them apart from every other team in the locker room, making The Rockers the most popular duo in the company. However when the time came for Shawn Michaels to aim higher, he decided to aim his boot to Marty Jannetty's face. He Superkicked Jannetty and then tossed him through a plate glass window. The Rockers were over, The Heartbreak Kid was born and Marty Jannetty became the odd man out. While Marty had opportunities to shine after the split, the fact is that his own personal controversy followed him around for years to come. Though many fans could not see past that fact, Marty did have some fine matches in between his runs in the company. The one that stands out from the others was the one he had against Shawn on Monday Night Raw.This match was not about Jannetty's life outside the ring and it was not about Shawn's hand in anything that had supposedly happened behind the scenes. This was all about two former best friends getting in the ring and bringing the house down, which is exactly what they did.
