10 Great Wrestlers Who Never Had A One-On-One Match At WWE WrestleMania

2. The Iron Sheik

Before he was swearing like a sailor in shoot interviews, The Iron Sheik was one of the most famous wrestlers in the world.

Sheiky Baby held multiple championships in the WWF - even becoming WWF Champion in 1983 - and played a big role in the very first WrestleMania.

The Sheik teamed up with fellow foreign heel Nikolai Volkoff to unseat WWF tag champs The U.S. Express, which makes Sheik one of the first two people to win a championship at WrestleMania.

Sheik then appeared exclusively in tag matches and battle royals, including the fabulous Gimmick Battle Royal at WrestleMania X-Seven.

The Battle Royal, which featured a who's who of eccentric characters from WWE's past, including Doink The Clown, Duke 'The Dumpster' Droese, and The Gobbledy Gooker.

Not only did Sheiky appear in this marquee match, but he won the whole thing, last eliminating Hillbilly Jim. He then got beaten up by Sgt. Slaughter, so swings and roundabouts.

Sheik got inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005 and it was entirely deserved. One of the greatest wrestlers of his time, The Sheik is an icon and it's a shame that we never got the see him make anyone humble one-on-one at WrestleMania.
