10. Faith Healer Love

There was public backlash after a spring 1991 episode of The Brother Love Show. The Brother Love character was controversial all by itself because it was an obvious parody of televangelists. But when the show was used to directly mock faith healing rather than forwarding an angle, it crossed the line.

Brother Love’s guess was a “blind” man in a wheelchair named Paul. Love proceeded to use his “Love” to heal the man thus allowing him to see and walk. The segment was controversial enough for WWE to pull the Love character off the air and fire Bruce Prichard.

Soon after the “I Can See!” episode, Brother Love and The Brother Love Show were written off WWE television after an incident with The Ultimate Warrior. Warrior brutally assaulted Love and destroyed the show’s set. It was explained that the show was cancelled due to Love’s severe injuries. Brother Love wouldn’t be seen again in WWE until November 1995.
