10 Greatest WWE SmackDown Endings

10. Bank On It! - 11 May 2007

The 11 May episode of SmackDown from 2007 boasted a huge main event, pitting The Undertaker against Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship. As the third match in their series that began at WrestleMania 23 and continued at Backlash, the bout saw 'The Phenom' put his gold on the line to settle the score once and for all in a steel cage.

A violent and physical encounter, the match ended in a photo finish as the equally matched rivals escaped the cage simultaneously. After a replay confirmed the crowd's suspicion, the match was ruled a draw and 'Taker retained the gold. However, the bloody champ didn't have much time to celebrate, as Mark Henry soon joined the fray to dismantle the already brutalised 'Deadman'.

Enter the 'The Rated-R Superstar'. With Henry returning to the back, Edge made his way to ringside, with his Money in the Bank briefcase in hand. Having won the briefcase on Raw that same week, Edge wasted little time putting it to good use and cashed in his title shot on the beaten champion. The raucous crowd could feel it in the air - history was about to be made.

Less than 90 seconds later, Edge was the new World Heavyweight Champion. They don't call him 'The Ultimate Opportunist' for nothing!
