This year's instalment will be no exception. Headlining the event will be Sting and Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and if Sting can find a way to emerge victorious, he'll become the oldest WWE champion of all-time at the age of 56. He'll also be the first former WCW alum to hold the gold since Rey Mysterio in 2011.

In other action, The Dudley Boyz will look to reclaim the WWE Tag Team Championship in their matchup against The New Day. If they take the titles on Sunday, it will be their record-setting tenth set of twin titles won in the company.

All that said, don't underestimate Night of Champions as just another event. The event has featured a number of monumental moments since its inception in 2007, including these ten you may not remember even occurred.

10. Team Hell No Officially Form

Ironically, in losing the World Heavyweight Championship in a mere 18 seconds at WrestleMania 28, Daniel Bryan became one of the most over members of the roster almost overnight. Despite that, WWE did next to nothing with him in the months that followed and instead relegated him to the upper-midcard.

After beating Kane in one-on-one action at SummerSlam, the two were sent to therapy at the behest of then-Raw general manager AJ Lee as a result of their bizarre behavior. Thanks to the help of Dr. Shelby, Bryan and Kane put their differences aside, at least enough to coexist for a WWE Tag Team Championship opportunity at Night of Champions against the reigning champs Kofi Kingston and R-Truth.

Bryan and Kane were far from the perfect partners and, in fact, there were several points in the matchup where they nearly cost each other the contest. In the end, the dynamic duo secured the victory and became the new WWE Tag Team champs to the surprise of the WWE Universe.

It was a strange start to a long-term title reign, but it was at Night of Champions 2012 where Team Hell No was officially born, along with all the awesome skits we'd get from them in the remainder of the year.
